The KJ Men’s club offers something for everyone in KJ and the broader Jewish community.  Some of our programs include Kiddush Discussions led by fascinating speakers; Chug Ivri for lovers of the Hebrew language; film screenings featuring directors, producers, and actors; the annual Men’s Club Shabbaton in memory of former president Dr. Stephen Stowe; and the Sunday Supper Lecture series. The Men’s Club also presents guest speakers at the weekly Seudah Shlishit and invites the community to a Shavuot Eve Dinner, where Divrei Torah from Ramaz Middle School students are showcased, followed by a stimulating Shavuot Lecture.

Upcoming Programming

Saturday, May 13: Following a delicious hot congregational Kiddush at the conclusion of 9:00 a.m. Main Synagogue services, everyone is invited to a Kiddush Discussion with Clarion Project's Shillman Fellow Ryan Mauro speaking on ISIS and the Threat to Israel. Newly returned from an exclusive Middle East trip to Iraq and Saudi Arabia, Mauro’s discussion will explore the ideological and military threat that ISIS presents to Israel and to World Jewry. Clarion Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about the dangers of radical Islam by challenging extremism and promoting dialogue.

Sunday, May 14: The entire community is invited to 125 East 85 Street at 7:15 p.m. to a Clarion Project screening of their newest film Faithkeepeers, a documentary about the violent persecution and genocide of Christians and other minorities in the Middle East. The film features exclusive footage and testimonials of Christians, Baha’i, Yazidis, Jews, and other minority refugees, and a historical context of the persecution in the region. See here for more information about the film.
