Meaningful Jewish Living

Judaism teaches us how to live, not just what to believe. 

Meaningful Jewish Living, a year-long course in the foundations of Judaism transcends academic knowledge to show how Judaism is alive and celebrated in the modern world. 

Taught by Rabbi Chaim Steinmetz, Rabbi Roy Feldman, Rabbi Meyer Laniado and Rabbi Daniel and Rachel Kraus, as well as guest presenters, it is a comprehensive year-long course covering major themes in Jewish law, practice and thought. Explore how a 5,500 year old religion is more relevant today than ever before.

Classes will take place on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM. Classes take place in-person throughout the year at 125 East 85th Street.

Study Hebrew at KJ

Learn Hebrew with Sara Rosen at the most appropriate level for you.

• Beginners Hebrew — for those who want to start building a foundation in Hebrew to help them read Jewish Prayer. 

• Intermediate Hebrew — this popular class enables those with no previous background in Hebrew to learn to read Hebrew in just a short time.

• Advanced Hebrew — designed for those with some ability to read Hebrew, students practice reading skills using the siddur and other Jewish texts.
