Background

Danielle, a social worker of The Jewish Board, is available to the KJ community as a result of the Partners in Caring (PIC) grant funded by UJA‐Federation of New York.

She offers individuals and families belonging to KJ  short-term supportive counseling, information, and referrals.  She provides confidential consultations on a variety of matters pertaining to personal and professional transitions (i.e. unemployment, illness, bereavement, caregiving, divorce, and retirement) as well as life challenges (i.e. elder abuse, domestic violence, lack of financial resources for food and shelter).

Additionally, Danielle works with groups, co-facilitating bereavement support workshops with Shira Felberbaum, LMSW, MS  in connection with Chanukah, and Pesach. Danielle is also a frequent guest speaker for the KJ Lunch and Learn series that takes place on Wednesday afternoons. She is also in the process of developing a within-the-community Bikkur Cholim program.

Danielle is passionate about helping KJ  become a warmer, more inclusive, and caring community.  Please contact her directly to share ideas, for more information, or to schedule an appointment.
