Rabbi Haskel Lookstein has been the Rabbi of Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun since 1958 and principal of the Ramaz School since 1966. He is the Joseph H Lookstein Professor of Homiletics at Yeshiva University, vice president of the Beth Din of America, and a member of the Board of Directors of the UJA Federation of New York. Rabbi Lookstein is also a commissioner of the New York City Human Rights Commission. He received his B.A. from Columbia College and earned his ordination, Master’s degree, and Ph.D. from Yeshiva University.

Rabbi Meir Y. Soloveichik is Associate Rabbi at Kehilath Jeshurun and teaches Senior Honors Talmud and Jewish Thought at Ramaz.  He graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva University, received ordination from its Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, and was a member of Yeshiva's Beren Kollel Elyon.  Rabbi Soloveichik received his Ph.D. In Religion from Princeton University, and has lectured across the United States and internationally on Jewish theology, Jewish-Christian relations, and bioethics.  He has written on these subjects for Commentary, First Things, Tradition, The Torah U-Madda Journal, and Azure.

Rabbi Elie Weinstock is Associate Rabbi at KJ, where he also serves as the director of Education and Outreach, and custodian of our highly developed Beginners Program. He is also a member of the Talmud faculty at the Ramaz Middle School. A veteran of both formal and informal educational programs and a Yeshiva University graduate, he received his Rabbinic ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary and a Masters in Jewish Philosophy from the Bernard Revel Graduate School.

Rabbi Alexander Kaye is Rabbinic Assistant at KJ. He studied in Yeshivat Har Etzion before receiving a BA and M.Phil. in history, both with first class honors, from the University of Cambridge. He then attended the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary and received his ordination from Yeshivat Chovevei Torah. Rabbi Kaye has completed internships at a number of synagogues and has served as a hospital chaplain. He was an adjunct professor of Jewish History at Stern College and taught at SAR High School. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Jewish History at Columbia University.

Shilo Kramer is the chazan for the KJ Beginners program, where he also teaches classes and assists in programming. Currently a third year student at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Shilo received his M.S. degree from Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and is pursuing a rabbinic ordination at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary. He is also a popular Bar Mitzvah tutor for the community’s children.

Sara Rosen has been with the KJ Beginners Program for more than 10 years. Born in Jerusalem, she studied education at Beit Berl Teacher’s College and at Columbia University, and has developed Phonetic Hebrew Decoding (PHD), an innovative learning system that is now used in schools throughout New York City. In addition to teaching Hebrew at KJ, Sara oversees the Hebrew Reading program at Rodeph Sholom Religious School and the Hebrew Resource room in their day school.

Rabbi Yossi Weiser received his ordination from the Mirrer Yeshiva in Brooklyn.  He also has Masters degrees in Jewish History and Guidance Counseling. He is currently a member of the Judaic Studies faculty of the Ramaz Upper School, and is a noted adult educator in Jewish history, philosophy, political science and Bible.
